About Dulese
"I’m Amelia, the founder & creator of Dulesé. Dulesé initially began as an expression of my two great passions, wellness & sustainability.
I first discovered natural deodorants after encountering a discomfort under my arm that was eventually identified as my lymph nodes fighting against a pesky virus. Although not directly linked to a deodorant, it got me thinking, what exactly are we applying to our body's largest organ (our skin), and is it harmful to us?
After much research - I was pretty taken back with what was found in our daily ‘chemical rollers’. Realising, we all deserve better - we deserve a product that’s good for us and good for the planet. This began my two-and-a-half year journey to create a deodorant that’s not only effective, but aligns with our values and aesthetics to create something we can proudly display in our bathrooms.
During the time this idea was born, I was working at a holistic natural health company, where I learned so many things about my body and what makes it feel its best. It was also at this time I encountered a classic Gen-Z meltdown, finding myself overwhelmed and frankly, a bit burnt out by our fast paced world we live in. The constant connection to emails and notifications had really started to take a big toll on my stress hormones, realising it’s really important that sometimes we just do-less. Hence, our name; Dulesé. (Which is pronounced Do-Less)
Sometimes, simplifying our lives is the most productive & important thing we can do for our overall health and well-being. For me, some of the ways I simplified, was by going back to basics through reducing the amount of endocrine disruptors and ingredients I was applying to my body, by moving to natural products. The impact this has had on my wellbeing and happiness has been nothing short of profound.
Made with the intention to help you consume-less, ingest-less ingredients, waste-less, absorb-less nasties, and overall, just do less - Dulesé was born. This is our backbone, if you will.
